For the book cover of ‘Tracks’ by Louise Erdrich, I drew inspiration from the story’s theme of indigenous American culture and family trauma. This is my final Tracks book cover mockup for the project.
I researched Indian-American visual traditions and cultural diversity, discovering the symbolic ‘Dream Catcher,’ a talisman used to ward off nightmares.
By incorporating abstract feather-like illustrations similar to the Dream Catcher, I created a spiritual atmosphere that introduced the title in a captivating way.
